Default Temple of Ages - What are 'Stones'?

So I've yet to do UW/FoW SC because of the usual reasons: demanding experience which you can't really get unless you have a guild or whatever, and everytime I think about trying to even get into a group, bluffing experience, theres something new they demand.
What are stones, and why do people request to see them? Honestly, everytime I see "Let me see your stones," I think of male genitalia. And laugh.

You get Ghastly Summoning Stones from the end chest of UW. People request to see how many you have because they use it as an indicator of your experience.

And this is why you should laugh at them.
Stones can be purchased.

Wouldn't you just need one? If you can do it once you can do it again...

You do have to laugh - its so funny they consider themselves so leet as they have the stones and yet a complete newbie could buy 50 and get in team with zero exp.
Im sure a lot of us would agree they must be "LEET IDIOTS" lol.
Myself id rather team up with guildies/alliance and do things ourway - that way you know your with friends and having fun than going with leet idiots - cummon guys i dont think for one minute if roles were reversed you`d not be saying or thinking the same.

I may just for fun start running round eotn outpost saying ranger lf nec 4 sd - must show tonics and see exactly how many idiots think they are leet lol.

To start I do not uwsc bc I see it as a waste of time, but I still dont see why people are bitching about the use stones. Yes you can buy stones, yes it is not fool proof, but it is at least some way of showing experience. And people that are actually are good at UWSC are going to have a decent amount anyway. My guess is that MOST people complaining about this system are those that are not experienced and don't have a lot of stones. If you aren't experienced and your complaining about not being able to get into pug groups, you should not get experience from joining EXPERIENCED groups. Practice with friends and guildies, get stones, and then join pugs that SHOULD know what they are doing..

Haven't seen one complaint about it here... Just people pointing out how easy it is for an inexperienced SC person to get the required stones. I've never done a SC (don't care to), but I can come up with 100+ stones in just just a few hours. Easy-peasy.

The people that use this method of getting more exp players are just looking for something to separate the noobs from people who can do it. Odds are if you can afford to buy 100+ stones then you have chance of completing your area. Whereas if you can't get some or never completed then it speaks for itself.

Personally I think a better system would be consets.
At least then it would be a useful system.

Closing thread as question answered, and this isn't the place for suggestions or discussions about how good/bad/whatever the whole thing is anyways.

Thread Closed.
